ONE STOP SHOP: This is my Husbands and mine go to spot when all fails and we can't decide on what we feel like eating or where we want to go. It's cheap and fast, and they offer plenty of variety as far as food selection goes for all taste buds. You can have your Mexican, to Asian, to bar style American, to healthy low carb diet in one stop. Same goes for the drink selections and entertainment. I love music and want to get my groove on at times, while my husband loves to just sit back, relax, drink cold beer while watching some type of sports game on TV. Well, Bar Louie definitely allows that. They have TV's up all over the bar and a small dance floor with a DJ booth set up in the back. The location in Downtown Naperville is usually the one we always go to, and the music is great. Especially on Friday and Saturday Nights. There in house DJ know's what he/she is doing and entertains people of all ages with their music selection. So when a time comes when you or everyone in your party are unable to make a decision on were to go for drink, food, and entertainment, Bar Louie is the place.

How... how is this place still in business?! I don't know where my original diagnosis of this sick puppy went, resurrection? Zombie? I gave it 9 months after it opened. I also don't know why anyone even eats here?! Has anyone seen the Heath inspection report, because that would be eye opening. I was stupid enough to keep coming back for punishment. And I mean punishment. Each time it got worse: A pharm company rep took me here for lunch, in early 2012 - not good and extremely cold. I took colleagues here for lunch 6 months later - my fish was rancid and two other orders of food needed to be sent back. Never did get my fish because it took them too long. A year goes by - ordered fish again. My fish sandwich was rancid. Why the £%€# did I order fish again?! Take my fiancé on way home from Drury lane 6 months later. Ok this looks promising, lots of happy people in there. Sitting for 10 minutes. See waitress flirting with football fan. Finally comes over and takes drink order. Miscommunication at bar that is 5 feet away. Wait another 10 minutes for wrong drink order and waitress flirts with football fan. Walk up to her and explain that drink at the bar was wrong drink. Apologizes, walks up to bar and back to flirting. No drink on table 5 minutes later, starving fiancé = leaving. I bad mouth this place every chance I get. This place owes me 5 hours of my life back. And I'm a Docta so that will be $1,875. Good luck coming up with that Bar Louie, your flirtatious waitress probably pockets the cash.

My girlfriend and I had a great time last night at this place. They had a DJ playing old school hip hop and r&b music. The drinks and food were good too.

$1 burgers on Tuesday night. And that includes beef, turkey OR a chicken breast. The toppings are additional but you can get amply fed for less than $5. Beers are a bit more than market value but you're getting burgers for a steal. Grab a date for a tuesday night outing and look for a protein baller as you make it rain delicious meats (or a portabella mushroom).

I came with my boss for a quick drink last night. I've only been to one Bar Louie in the past so I haven't had much experience with them - however, my boss always raves about it so I was open to checking it out. This Bar Louie is attached to the Holiday Inn, so the parking lot situation is a little confusing. Just look for the door that says"Bar Louie entrance here" Happy Hour was going on, so appetizers were 1/2 priced. I went for the boneless wings with schezuan sauce and my boss went for the calamari. Of the two, I thought the calamari was the best. It was really mouth watering and the sauce provided a lot of flavor. The wings were okay but I don't know if I'd get them again. Sure, they gave me a lot of wings, but the sauce was a little too sweet with not enough of a kick to balance it out. We asked about drink specials and there weren't many -- a $5 draft of the day (Blue Moon) and $5 Absolute cocktails. Not being too experimental, I just went for an Absolute and OJ. I haven't had vodka or Absolute in awhile, so I thought it was very strong. Not sure if I would have found it "strong" in my drinking days or not, but still - they didn't skimp on the booze. The service was only ok. I wouldn't say they were necessarily busy, but there was a good amount of people in there. I'm not sure if this was what affected the friendliness and customer service aspect of it, but I got the opinion the bartender would have preferred that we never sat down in the first place. I'd probably come back here for their drink and food specials, but I won't go so far as to say I'm a fan yet.

Try the wings... surpsingly delicious! It is located inside a holiday inn which I was skeptical of at first but turned out great. The only downfall Is the parking lot is always packed! Great game day specials! Very clear bar and the food always hits the spot.

Sad to say this was a horrible experience. I was just there this past Monday night. One of everything - One waitress, bartender, buss boy and TWO people that looked like managers. We ordered water and a sprite... We never got a second refill. We were there for about 45 minutes. I ordered the chicken nachos - these nachos tasted bad. The cheese was not tasty, the guacamole was brownish. Chicken really didn't have flavor. My boyfriend ordered a PLAIN BURGER (soo not much to do on this order) and fries. - burger was not good...it tasted like it went in the oven.. eeww. The fries were the only good thing of both meals. So bad food and refill..... We both were upset by the end of our meal. We just wanted to leave. The thing that made all this worst is that there were two employees that looked to be managers and they weren't helping their short staff mend the demand. I had to stop a manager to ask her to please bring our check since the waitress was no where to be found. We would of had better luck sitting at the bar ordering alcoholic beverages!!

I had the fish & chips & it was actually pretty good except the fish was a bit dry! The service was alright but I literally had to go find the waiter when I needed my check!!

This is the first time I have visited this bar Louie. Great atmosphere and a wonderful staff. Our bar tender was JJ. Very knowledgeable and friendly but this entire experience was made by the manager Nina. She stopped by to check on how are experience was and engaged us in an amazing conversation. She was awesome and made this experience such a good time. Will defenately be back. Love love love this place.

Great atmosphere, good waitress ... however the MOUSE running above our heads in the light fixture was very distressing! When we pointed it out to the waitress, she didn't seem very concerned. We insisted on moving to a different table which she accommodated, however she didn't alert the table next to us or move them. I was deeply surprised that the manager didn't come over to talk with us nor did the waitress comp any of our drinks or meals. Disgusting! I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone in the future.

Drinks, food, service and atmosphere is awesome. They even have Purple Haze! Usually stop in to watch UFC fights with some friends and have even made new friends, imagine that...step out of your norm and watch what happens. ;) Plus, helloooo, DJ Santos dj's there!

Greeted with a sign that read, "Please seat yourself." It was the first hint of the horrible service to come. Took a seat at a booth and the menus were on the table already. Now, I'm panicking because I'm starving and I looked around to see the ratio of server to customers and it was skewed to the customers side. Stopped by here cause someone told us about $1 burger on Tuesday. It took forever for a waitress to acknowledged us. And she only came over to tell us our waiter, Brian will be by shortly. Asked her about the $1 burger and she said it's now $5 for any type of burger with fries or tots. She took our drink order, a mango pineapple and cherry peach San-Gris. Both non alcoholic. 20 minutes later we get our drink, but my was incorrect. It was a strawberry sangria with alcohol. For anyone else this would have been a score, but not me. The other pineapple drink was really nasty with a bitter aftertaste. Different girl came by the take our order saying Brian was too busy. We told her about our drinks and she apologized and fixed it. Very disappointed in the drinks considering it was the same price as the food. Food came out fast after ordering, but it didn't match the description. Here we are contemplating our choice of burger when it automatically has lettuce, tomato, and onions along with the items listed. Which was no where on the menu. The burger was a large portion and tasted and look great. The tots were overflowing, but it was not as crispy. Overall good quality for the price in terms of food, but the service or lack thereof will prevent me from coming back. Drink are over price even for nonalcoholic. Sit some place visible if you want service. Another 20 mins before we got our check.

Well this will probably be the last trip to Bar Louie this family ever makes. We were spoiled by the service and quality from the Wrigleyville location before they closed. Today we went to Bar Louie at about 5:15. The hostess took us to a booth in the back. We were sitting for about 5 minutes (with 6 year old twins) before the waiter (that had walked by us at least 4-5 times came over and apologized because he thought the other server was taking care of us. The drinks and appetizer came out very quickly (thus the 2 stars). Then the ship started to sink. Our entrees took a little longer than they should have. My daughters kids meal sliders were substituted for a full size hamburger. My wife's tots were fries. My second beer took at least 10 minutes to deliver and I had to remind the server to pick it up. The poor guy did fine when we were one of two tables but obviously was over his skis with four tables. Lastly, we never received the chocolate Sunday's with the kids meals. Ever since Wrigley, our experiences at Bar Louie have been horrible. Game over.

I feel it's unfair that I left a bad review yet still come to this restaurant. I have had nothing but good experiences every time I have gone there since my previous review. The wings are the best and service is much better!

The Tuna Sandwich is soooo good. I ordered it and a five minutes later, it was there. Really quick and I like that they ask your temperature preference on fish. I prefer mine mid rare when most places cook their fish well done. It leaves the fish dry if you over cook it. I also like $5 Martini Thursdays. $5 Cosmos and there's a hotel in the building just in case I have $30 worth ;)

During some point a bunch of friends were checking into Bar Loue in Oak Park a LOT. Was it really that good...naw. I'm sure it's not...just another T.G.I. Friday's right! Well to many reviews pointed out that the oak park location sucked and that this one was better.. WRONG! - They both suck! It wasn't a busy night it was only three other people around winter time in the place all were sitting at the bar. Was asked did we want to sit at the bar....We declined...and I can tell she was disappointed that meant she actually had to do something like...her job. Set got us a menu and took FOREVER to come back to the point I literally got up and ordered my drinks at the bar and brought them back myself. Why didn't I realize I needed to leave at this point? Oh cause I wanted to try the food. Well it suck plan and simple. Actually I was dry heaving after a few bites. I'm going to save some time and tell you the in Oak Park one suck too (had a lunch meeting but it wasn't my choice as I never wanted to come back to this place.) I guess if you're just having drinks this place is probably OKAY. The only thing about this place I ranked over Oak Park is if you already staying at the hotel you can liquor your date up before heading upstairs.

I dinned in last night with my partner for $1 burger Tuesday last night, this is my second time attending bar louie my first was the Oak park area and then this one..SERVICE SUCKS at both restaurants!! food was ok but I really suggest the chicken nachos and the blueberry margarita is really tasty and full of alcohol..we didn't even know our servers name because she didn't introduce herself ! She had an attitude about my partner asking her a question about the alcohol and stormed off..we didn't have no napkins or silverware and when we asked she went to two tables and took their order before even bringing us what we requested ! REALLY? I won't be coming back no time soon! But I did appreciate the manager coming to check on us...I didn't tattle because I'm myself an server.

I actually really liked this Bar Louie. I think I like it better than the one in Oak Park. It's smaller and has more of an intimate atmosphere which I like. They also have a nice beer selection which we all know will bring the Rosie to the yard. :0) It is confusing to get to though. You gotta go all around the lobby of the hotel to get there. And I think it's by the pool so be prepared to be bombarded by the smell of cholorine. The parking lot is also a bit of a bleep show. So if you're gonna stunt be sure to park your car far off so it doesn't come back dented. But getting back to the space itself. I think it's very grown and sexy. Darker lighting, not a lot of booths. Very quaint. This would be a nice place for a first date. They do try to sell it as a sports bar but I don't think they can. Especially with the Tilted Kilt being so close. The food is ok. It's Bar Louie food. So the same thing you got at the last BL you were at is the same stuff you'll find at this one. Nothing more nothing less. Bottom line this is a date spot. If you and your people are trying to kick it take it to Tilted Kilt.

I travel a lot for work and got placed in a holiday inn that held a Bar Louie inside. I was referenced from a colleague from the area that Bar Louie was a great place to visit and he was not wrong. I felt at home right from the start. The bartender that served me was named JJ and was outstanding with his knowledge and customer service. If you are in the area or staying at the connecting holiday inn this is a place to enjoy yourself and feel welcome as an out of towner. TL:DR worth the visit, the staff is awesome. Tip JJ a little extra cause he is outstanding and a boss at what he does. You won't be disappointed.

Classy joint but it was so dead. They were having a $5 martini special during th Bears game which you can't beat. I can see why they were $5 though. I ordered a dirty martini and it was basically olive juice with a splash of vodka. Sick. We were going to stay and eat and watch the game but it was so dead in there. There were probably about 5 other people at the bar and the vibe was a downer. Perhaps I'll try this place on a Friday or Saturday.

Things that make me go hmmmmm . . . . .this is actually a decent Bar Louie. Not as nice as the one I go to in another state, but nice enough. Too bad that more people don't stop in. I wonder if the location inside a Holiday Inn has something to do with it? I didn't even know it was here until some colleagues suggested it. We stopped in during the World Cup to have some drinks and to enjoy some appetizers. The food came up quickly (try the buffalo chicken nachos- quite good!) I also had shrimp skewers over greens that was very tasty. Know if you go that the menu (like most bars) is high on fried food. Our server was quick with the drinks and even the manager came over to check in on us several times. Plenty of TV's over the bar and the sound system allows you to hear all the action. Plenty of drink specials and happy hours. And if you squint , , ,you might just forget you're sitting in an Holiday Inn!

Absolutely the worst service I've experienced ... On multiple occasions. To be clear, this is a ZERO star review ... But today was awful and utterly ridiculous. 4 of us arrived at noon to catch the 2nd half of the World Cup game. The bar seating was busy but only a few tables were occupied. Due to terribly slow service on previous occasions, we ordered our drinks and food at the same time. As of 12:50, we still had not been delivered any food! Nothing, expect two visits by our server, 15 mins apart to tell us our food would be out "soon". It never came. By this time the restaurant was packed and the 3 servers were completely overwhelmed and no manager to be found. To make matters worse, we all ordered from the $8 Lunch Menu which is available from 11am-2pm. How can you not knock out any items off that menu in under 50 minutes? Those should be the focus, the meals that the kitchen can churn out in a timely fashion. Finally, as 1pm approached, we flagged down a server and let her know we were leaving and no longer needed our meal. She had no real response, no sorry, no apology for the absolutely horrid service and the wasting of our lunch hour without actually eating lunch. This location is within walking distance from our office and would be a great spot for a restaurant that we could enjoy a meal, that isn't fast food, in a reasonable amount of time. Bar Louie is not that restaurant. Bar Louie, even visiting multiple locations, has always been a let down. Today was the final attempt, I will NEVER visit another Bar Louie ever again.

I had to visit this Bar Louie for two reasons. One, I wanted to compare this location to the one I always go to in Arcadia, CA, and two, it was conveniently located in the lobby of the hotel I was staying in. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon back in September and enjoyed Chicago's Goose Island Green Line beer and an order of the "trio" chips and dips. Mindy, the bartender, was attentive and sweet. She made sure to acknowledge everyone who sat at the bar and take down their orders within a decent amount of time, even though it was getting pretty busy for the Chicago Bear's game. Although this Bar Louie is a lot smaller than the one I frequent in Arcadia, CA, the bar itself looks pretty much the same. Wish the one in CA offered those Chicago-brewed beers though!

Went their to watch nfl football games the other week. They have the nfl ticket so that you can watch multiple games at once. We went with a big party and everyone thought it was a great place to watch the games. The food is pretty good for a bar. Most people I was with had sliders and burgers and everyone liked them. They have a great selection of sliders. They also have a good buffalo chicken flatbread. They have good drink specials on sundays and during the week as well.

Awful service. I'd hate to see how they manage when they are actually busy. Don't be fooled by the half price appetizers or the Tuesday $1 burger, quality of food is horrible. I should have listened to a fellow reviewer but unlike that person I'm not coming back to get the same experience again ;)

The atmosphere is classy but yet fun. I had the chicken nachos and their sangria and they were absolutely delicious. I am super picky about sangria, and they marked the spot, but beware if you don't like cherries, because there are tons of them in the sangria. If you're looking for a great place to pregame or lounge at with some friends and drinks this is a great place to go to.

This place is fine. Nothing spectacular, but nothing wrong with it. They have decent specials. The food is good. Alcohol seems a tad pricey, but the one in Skokie is like that, too.

I have not tried the food here so my review is on a late night 1 drink with the guys after eating somewhere else experience. It was a warm and breezy Saturday night. After hangin out with friends at Tilted Kilt Next door.. we walked on over. Inside its dark, trendy and a bit cozy. there is a central bar layout with curved booths along the wall, there is also a patio option.. but the table cleaning gets overlooked if its busy... One thing I do like is the 14 oz or short beer option.. I know most places offer this.. but sometimes a tall beer is too filling, and a short is just right for that time of the night before you call it quits.. I would come back if people wanted to meet here.. just hope its not super packed..

Ambiance is great. Service was excellent. Food and drinks were moderately priced. Lots of tvs around if you want to catch a game, yet not too loud so you can still have conversations with your party.

Awww I'm disappointed to see that they have such a bad rating!!! Generally, I don't like Bar Louie though, but the bar we were at on Wednesday had a dance class so we decided to go to the Bar Louie. Middle of the hawks play off game!? of course they were slammed, the only down fall was that the host didn't know what she was talking about. She said there weren't any available tables when there was a booth in the back that was wide open!!! But once we sat down, everything was great! The support staff was going above and beyond for the servers that night! As soon as we sat down one of the bus boys came up to us and got us our drinks letting us know that our server was a bit slammed. Once Jenni got a handle on her section she was so sweet and hospitable! She knew we were all there to watch the game so she literally didn't bother us unless it was commercial break! Their Fried Louie burger was amazing!!! OMG I think I like it better than Kuma's Corner..... It was an intense game so it sat on the table til it got cold before I got to finish it but if a burger is still good when it's cold, you can only imagine how good my first bite was! I've been to other Bar Louies but this one hands down is my favorite!

Very small bar hidden away in a hotel. Food is great no doubt about that. Great to come watch a sports game. Trio dips and chips, buffalo chicken flatbreads were great to start off! I had the blue louie burger and it was a bit salty but overall good. Good service, not the best, I wish the servers were more friendly and talked more than just take your order.

I went here after work one Friday with a few coworkers. It's kind of a strange location as it's in the first floor of a hotel. The bar atmosphere was decent, though it would've been much nicer in warm weather where we could sit outside or by open windows. Our server was nice enough. I believe she said it was her first week, and she did a pretty good job. I am pretty sure she brought me the wrong beer for round 1, but it was hard to be sure, since it was draft beer. The following 2 rounds were the right one though. We split a few appetizers, mostly chips and dips, and they were pretty standard. To be expected. I've also been to Bar Louie in the Promenade in Bolingbrook as well as downtown Naperville. I'd say the Bar Louie in Oak Brook is a level between the other two. The Bolingbrook location is giant, and a better dining atmosphere. Downtown Naperville is crammed, has awful clientele, and is much more of a bar atmosphere. Overall I'd say the Oak Brook Bar Louie is OK, and I'll likely go back again, but mostly because it's close to work.

New Years Eve stink! Decent evening until the DJ's drunk girlfriend puked all over the place and NO ONE cleaned it up. The staff walked past it numerous times, and worse, they let customers walk right thru it. Their solution...surround it by chairs and leave it for everyone to smell. It was close to closing time so it wasn't like they were too busy to clean it up. Was there not a manager on duty? Shameful and disgusting!!

Worst Place EVER!! Waited on pre-ordered lunch 30 minutes to be served. Then had a dead grasshopper in my caesar salad. No one apologized, meal was comp'd but NO apologies!!!!! Disgusting, waiters were rude. Do not go!

I ordered the southwest burger and the meat was burnt. I felt like I was getting cancer from the first couple bites I took. Blech. I asked for it to be cooked medium but they obviously just threw it in a fire pit and took it out charred beyond recognition lol. The fries were delicious though :) we also ordered an appetizer but the server forgot to put it in so that was a bust... But she did apologize nicely so that was forgiven. Just the burger.... That was unforgivable.

my self and co worker went here on a l unch break and inforned the waitress iwona that we were on lunch upon seating. The waitress did not know any specials she said she usually doesnt work on thurs..... food took 35-40 mins some entrees were burnt. She forgot our calamari and i had to ask the barteender for to go boxes who also forgot then we asked Iwona and waited another 15 mins. I ended up asking the bartender again and we got them. I asked for the manager turns out here was the dude leaning on the bar talking to the bartender the whole time so in essence doing nothing! on top of that the incompetent added gratuity so we were forced to pay a tip for God awful service! i genreally LOVE bar louie but i will never go to thisa one again and i will tell everyone i know to never step foot in the Oakbrook location. I was a server for years and i would never do my tables this way. please retrain this server!
